Okay, so I am a big lover of hummus, chickpeas are a great source of plant based protein and increase satiety, helping you stay fuller for longer. My appreciation was taken to another level when I tried the hummus offering at the Garden Cafe in Granada, Nicaragua (yes, i’m sorry, i’ve started using the wanderlust hashtag during my quarter life crisis0. Anyway, their hummus was way lighter and more refreshing than what i’m used too and perfect for an afternoon snack. I was so in impressed I ended up asking the lovely owner for the secret, which I soon received in Spanish, so here it is, a super simple hummus recipe (with the original Spanish), perfect for the summer heat!
